DataStore and Barracuda MSP sign agreement

Barracuda MSP: IT security solutions for cloud applications

Cooperation focuses on IT security solutions for cloud applications

DataStore and Barracuda have signed an agreement for Switzerland. Effective immediately, DataStore AG will expand its cloud security portfolio for managed service providers (MSP) with Barracuda's MSP solutions for network and email security.

Cybersecurity is a topic of considerable concern for companies. The increasing importance of cloud solutions and remote work is creating greater complexity, while the threat landscape is evolving at considerable speed. As a result, companies are increasingly relying on the support of managed service providers to meet current requirements. MSPs are also increasingly taking on a consulting role and offering multilayered security and data protection solutions to assure companies of optimal protection. DataStore AG is now prepared to meet this demand with Barracuda's MSP solutions.

Barracuda MSP and DataStore help meet the cybersecurity requirements of channel partners and their customers:

"The security team at DataStore AG is pleased to expand its long-standing relationship with Barracuda," said Michael Ulrich, senior business development manager at DataStore. "The MSP agreement with Barracuda underscores our commitment to providing our channel partners in Switzerland with high-quality IT security solutions for cloud applications, so they in turn can meet the cybersecurity requirements of their customers. We see strong demand in the MSP area and are therefore pleased to be able to count on an additional resource here, which ideally complements our existing portfolio."

Barracuda, a leading provider of cloud-first security solutions, is seeing extremely encouraging momentum for its Barracuda MSP business unit, due in part to the recent acquisition of SKOUT Cybersecurity, which provides cyber-as-a-service software for MSPs and an XDR platform; new security integrations; and the increasing number of MSPs adding Barracuda's security solutions to their service portfolio. Other reasons include new integrations for Barracuda RMM and the introduction of Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) for MSPs through Barracuda CloudGen Access.

"As threats become more sophisticated, MSPs need to ensure they are delivering security-focused services while managing their customers' end users, networks, applications, and data," said Kay-Uwe Wirtz, Regional Account Manager MSP, (DACH) at Barracuda MSP. "That's why we're pleased to be able to provide our expertise in the area of cloud security for managed service providers."
