“The secret of happiness lies not in having, but in giving. Making others happy makes us happy.” Here at DataStore, we fully agree with this quote by French author André Gide. That’s why, together with Barracuda Networks, we’re supporting HC-Prättigau-Herrschaft and the team’s activities on behalf of the Greenhope Foundation.
Greenhope – Sports against Cancer organizes events to offer entertainment and a few happy and carefree moments to children with cancer and their families. The foundation arranges a huge variety of activities for children to have fun with their families, including a Lego day, birthday events, family parties and cycling trips. Greenhope also arranges access to sporting events so they can enjoy some joyful and carefree time off from the daily routine. Greenhope is supported by numerous sports clubs and individual athletes, who appear at games and competitions wearing jerseys in the charity’s green-and-black colors, auction their autographed original jerseys and donate the proceeds to Greenhope, or actively support a variety of fundraising campaigns. One of these clubs is HC-Prättigau-Herrschaft. In the current ice hockey season, DataStore, together with Barracuda Networks and Marty Bauleistungen AG, is sponsoring the “warm-up jerseys.”
Following the season
Barracuda Networks is an important long-term network partner of our company. That makes it all the more satisfying to form a new network with this partner, HC-Prättigau-Herrschaft, and the Greenhope Foundation, allowing new opportunities to be created for children who have been dealt a harsh hand in life.
As a successful company, we believe we bear not only economic, but also social responsibilities. “Our social involvement grounds us, gives us perspective on day-to-day problems, and reminds us what’s truly important and relevant in life,” says Michael Ulrich.
DataStore, Barracuda, and the families supported by Greenhope are hopping with excitement for more wins by HC-Prättigau-Herrschaft this season. Together, we’re a strong and enthusiastic fan base for the team!
Other involvements
Supporting Greenhope isn’t DataStore’s only involvement in sponsoring. We have also championed the Theodora Foundation, whose “dream doctors” brighten the days of children in hospitals. We supported Unicef Switzerland in our 2019 Christmas fundraising campaign.
